Guess What?!?!

I GOT A NEW PUPPY!!!

Okay, she's not a puppy-puppy but she is new to me and I'm in L.O.V.E.

Meet Lucy Delwyn Kendall...a Welsh middle name for my Welsh corgi.

Isn't she the cutest?!?  She is a year and half and so stinkin' sweet. We drove to Katy, Texas to pick her up yesterday and give her some time to get acquainted with my other corgi before bringing her home.  My dad was kind enough to let us borrow his backyard for the meet and greet.  Thanks Dad!!

Another huge thank you to Corgis and Critters for bringing her into our life. If anyone else is interested in rescuing a corgi in Texas, go check out their site. There are so many more dogs that need good homes.

Anway...back to Lucy.

It was love at first sight for all of us.  Even Riley, my corgi, seems to be quite taken with her.  He even let her lay on his bed!  They haven't fought at all either.  They just follow each other around the house checking everything out.  It's so cute.  I don't think it will be long before she is in charge.  Riley is such a push over. Hehe.

Look at that great face!

She is such a girl too! She prances around and enjoys lounging more than anything else.  While she relaxed, Riley was busy chewing/playing with his frisbee. He is my rough and tumble boy for sure!

They couldn't be more different, but seem to compliment each other perfectly.

I love this picture.  You can see the difference between the two. Riley is always happy.  Meanwhile, Lucy is calm and collected. She also appears to be licking her chops.  I think she's ready for round 2 of food...typically corgi.

Here is our newest family picture.  It is going right into a big frame downstairs.  It may even make the Christmas card.

I know this is not reaching related AT ALL, but I had to share with y'all.  I'm just so excited to have a new addition in the house and want to show her off.  What can I say?  I'm a proud doggie parent.

Enjoy the weekend!  We'll be outside playing. Ball, anyone??
