Hi Amanda First off -- great name! That's my daughter's name and I love it! I love the title of this blog - so many creative teachers out there. :o) I am your newest follower. Come check out my blog - I am new to the blogging world. ~ Vickyhttp://traditionslaughterandhappilyeverafter.blogspot.comhttp://www.vickymoore2.com
I love you OLW! And, Farley ROCKS!I am not sure how I hopped over here but I am glad I did! You and your cute blog make me smile. I am a Texas teacher too! I am sure your are being consumed by the STAAR test....blah, blah, blah...rigor, rigor, rigor!!!! :PI use Conscious Discipline in my classroom. When kiddos are anger, frustrated or sad we teach them to take a STAR...Stop Take a deep breath And Relax. I think it is funny that CD had kiddos taking a STAR before there was a STAAR test.Since you are facing that lovely test, please come read 2 poems I shared on my blog "In This Room" and "Teach Me". "Teach Me" is one that needs to be shared with all teachers giving the STAAR because it is a reminder that we are not just teaching a test and a curriculum...we are teaching a child and their heart.Blessings to you sweet Amanda!HeatherHeather's Heart
